When Will Samsung Android 13 update release?

Samsung phones are expected to receive the Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update from October. First of all, Samsung gives an outlook on the innovations of upcoming update in their official blog.

Google recently released Android 13 . Samsung wants to distribute the new cell phone OS to the first devices later this year - together with One UI 5.0, the new version of the in-house user interface for Galaxy cell phones.

This will include some changes that go beyond the innovations introduced by Google with Android 13, which the company is already giving an outlook on in their blog.

More personalization options

So the update will offer more personalization options. You can now choose from up to 16 preset color themes based on your background image and 12 additional color options for home screens, icons and quick panels to get a UI look that suits your style.

You should also be able to stack widgets of the same size in one place on the home screen to save space. The menus for selecting ring tones and vibration patterns have been revised and should now be accessible more quickly.

Improved camera app

An icon in the camera app should show you useful tips in Pro mode to help you choose the right settings. A new dashboard should show you at a glance how well your cell phone is secured against unauthorized access.

You can also expect a new version of the in-house browser Samsung Internet. In version 19, this warns you if you end up on a fake website due to a typo. You can also unlock certain add-ons for Secret Mode, explains Samsung in another blog post.

The specialist magazine SamMobile estimates that Samsung will also release a public beta version for the S20, as well as for the folding phones Fold 4, Flip 4, Fold 3, Fold 2 and Z Flip 5G. The Note 20 could possibly also benefit from a pre-release version.

Release in October

Experts expect Samsung to start distributing the update in October. The leaker SuperRoader names October 17th or 19th as the day of publication on Twitter. However, he does not provide any information as to where his information came from.

However, Samsung has not yet revealed an official schedule for the update to Android 13 and which devices will receive it. The manufacturer usually announces its rollout plan when the first update is published in the Samsung Members app .

Samsung is currently rolling out Android 12 . It should be completed in September with the release of the update for the Galaxy Tab A8 in this country. At the same time, Samsung is distributing Android 12L to selected devices - starting with the Galaxy Tab S8.
